25. The Winds of Change, Part 1

Plot Summary:

Jonathan and Thad take refuge during an electrical storm. The intense heat from a dangerously close lightning strike forms several fulgurites. The boys want to put them on display in the Brenan Museum of Creation, but two men will stop at nothing to steal them because of the belief that they posses mysterious new-age powers. This particular episode contains almost NO science at all.  Most of the program was spent talking about the New Age movement and how it is incompatible with Christianity.

Note: Unlike other (earlier) Jonathan Park episodes, this episode actually contains quite a bit of  factual information, given in minute-long snippets. The characters make it a point to emphasise that all these animals were designed by a Creator.  For brevity’s sake, I will only concentrate on the problematic statements – from a YEC vs Evolution perspective – and leave the other factual statements alone.
